On Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 the Pompano Citi Center hosted a Celebration of Animal Love with their annual Pet Expo. The event was filled with vendors ranging from groomers to pet nutrition to, of course, PetPeePee.

Their were dog contests for all ages and people were happily shopping and browsing all of the vendors. It was a day filled with all kinds of dogs from Schnauzers to Bulldogs to Great Danes. There were approximately 30 vendors at the occasion and a large dog agility competition that had trained professionals walk the dogs through the course. They also had a raffle that included almost 60 items!

We, at PetPeePee, had our own raffle, giving away a Free Do It Yourself KIT (winner is to be annouced). All different breeds, big, small and even toy were there to enjoy contests, games, and a variety of appx. 50 vendors.

There were games, contests, and food.

Here is a list of some of the vendors that I had the pleasure of speaking with.

The first group that I came to talk with was Furry Travelers, which offers great products for dogs on the go. Not only do small dogs travel, but there are products for large dogs such as the Golden Retriever. They have backpacks that are suited for carrying dogs, they have life vests, safety vests and more. To check out their product list visit their website at www.furrytravelers.com

I also came into contact with a wonderful rescue group dedicated to Labrador Retrievers. Started in 2000, this rescue group has placed 3,000 Labs in loving, caring homes. They are a wonderful group that goes out and finds great homes for these loving and loyal pets. If you are interested in rescuing a Labrador Retriever, visit llrof.org or labrescuefl.org.

A very fashionable article for dogs or cats is Le Pampered Pooch collections by Kayanna Designs. Kayanna designs wonderful take away bags for your little loved one. She even designs custom accessories. If you are interested in viewing some of her works contact Ann-Marie Reid at (954) 232-9534.

An interesting service that I came across was Canine Assisted Therapy. Canine Assisted Therapy is one of the most noble, caring and comforting service I have ever encountered. Their mission is to deliver therapeutic relief through the use of dogs to children, and adults who need comfort, companionship and the unconditional love that only a dog can provide. The program places these dogs into facilities where their services are most needed, such as nursing homes, hospitals, adult daycare and schools. They also provide additional planned activities including benefit walks throughout the community; monthly get togethers at dog parks and more. Check them out at www.catdogs.org.

Another vendor at Doggie Palooza was an amazing artist that I will be bringing my dog to. Tommy Pop Art, custom studio quality acrylic canvas paintings. His art is one of a kind. Simply by submitting your photo of your pet, he transforms the normal photo into a retro and stylish piece of art. To check out some of his amazing pieces of art, visit Tommypopart.com.

A cause that I found beneficial and fully support is the petition for Citizens For Pets in Condos. It is dedicated to increasing acceptance of companion animals in condos and other types of association-run housing. They educate the public about the health benefits of having animal companions and also advocated for responsible pet ownership/guardianship. As the event started at 12 noon, people we're bringing their pups dressed in the finest. Music was playing, there were dog games going on and businesses and rescue groups were enjoying the crowd.

One of the first rescue groups that we had the pleasure of meeting was the Friends of Greyhounds www.friendsofgreyhounds.org). A wonderful rescue group that focuses on saving greyhounds after they retire from racing. They are loving and sweet dogs that are looking for a good home. They have kennels in Sunrise and Hialeah.

Another rescue group that I met that had the cutest puppy I've ever seen was called Adopt-A-Bull Rescue, Inc. (www.adoptabullrescue.com) where they have all different ages of bull dogs. At the event they had two adult bull-dogs and one white puppy bull-dog that was cute as can be. Many people stopped by to give a kiss to the cute and cuddly bull dogs.

If you're looking for a place to keep your pup for the day, week or month, Chateau Poochie has all the amenities you need. As their slogan says, "It's a Dog's World" and, they mean it. Not only is it a hotel for dogs, but for cats as well. If your pooch demands only the best, than the Royal Suite is what your pup needs. You can visit their website at www.chateaupoochie.com.

If you love your pet and you want to immortalize them in a photo or in a painting then Sue Appleton Dayton can paint your pet or Tina Valant can take their photo. Sue Appleton Dayton is a magnificent painter that can take a photo of your pet (or in real life) and paint them onto any background you'd like. When walking by her booth, she showed me one of her dogs with a beautiful mountain scenery. She told me that her dog's favorite place was the mountains and decided to paint him in his favorite place. You can visit her website at www.sueappleton.com. However, if you prefer to have a photo of your furry loved one, than Tina Valant is the gal for you. She takes wonderful photos of pets, people, events and more. You can visit her website at www.TinaValant.com, also Tina will be taking pet Valentine's Day Photos, don't forget about your loved one!

I also had the pleasure of meeting the infamous Diane Roadcap, The Pet Psychic. She and her team flew in from Virgina to this event to connect with her South Florida audience. She gave a couple readings on stage and even brought one woman to tears. Diane has a very special talent for talking with animals, and can even do a reading over the phone. And she doesn't just talk to dogs or cats, but to all animals. Her website is www.animalstalktoo.com.

I also came across a very interesting and new age method of entertainment, internet radio. But this is not your normal radio show, its a radio show dedicated to pets and pet's health! Bill Piechocki and Diane Sudduth are co-owners of Fiesta Pet Deli in Festival Flea Market Mall at 2900 W. Sample Road, Pompano. Bill Piechocki has a degree in animal science and 40 years experience in the pet industry including working as a pet nutritionist. He has raised show dogs and also trained dogs. He has the expertise and knowledge to train dogs from all ages. He holds private lessons, and teaches housebreaking, basic obedience and advance obedience, behavior problems, aggression managment and even protection training. As they say, "We speak your dog's language."

Another type of dog service at the event was 5PawPets where they have professional pet services such as daily dog walks, overnight pet sitting, luxury pet fitness programs, pet transportation and much more. Their slogan, Love & Care, YES, We'll Always be There! The time commitment, patience for training, the mental hardships that dog or cat has been through, money, and your current family status. Sometimes, people want to adopt but they just don't have these things and simply cannot do it.

However, there is an alternative to adopting, foster. Fostering a pet is almost the same as fostering a child. Your local humane society can partner up with a local pet store and bring pets out that need a good home until they find a permanent one, instead of being kept in a kennel for months on end. This way, the pet has human interaction and a loving environment for a temporary time. Of course, if you end up loving the pet, you can always adopt them.

The pros of fostering:

The humane society or pet store provides all the necessary items for the pet, such as crate, bed, and food.

Shots and other vet necessities are already taken care of.

You can test out different breeds, find out which one works best with your personality.

You can return the dog or cat back to the humane society if it is too demanding on your current situation.

You can personally find it a great home if you decide you cannot adopt it.

And, of course, you are doing a wonderful deed for the animal community.

Cons of fostering:

You don't know where the dog or cat has been, it may have serious behavioral damage.

You may fall in love with a particular dog or cat and are unable to keep it.

Every week (depending on the schedule with the humane society) you need to bring the pet in to try and get it adopted.

Training is recommended and encouraged.

Having a pet is demanding, they should be treated like additions to the family, therefore, if you don't have the time and effort for the pets, let another family who does have the time and effort take care of them.

Have you adopted or fostered? Do you like fostering or adopting? Please post your comment and let others see your story.

Check out your local humane society and see if they have fostering programs available.

When a dog follows you home...

As I went running with my sister in Athens, GA a small white and brown dog decided to befriend us. She ran to us and started jumping and nipping out of excitement. At first, we we're cautious, afraid the dog might actually bite us, but after a while we realized she was just a sweet pup in need of some love.

We tried to knock on the door that the dog was sitting at, but no one answered. She has no collar and seems pretty well groomed for a stray. So, we started walking with Nipper, we decided to call her, at our heels.

She followed us about 3/4 of a mile back to my sister's house and waited and waited to come inside.

At this point we meet at a cross road. She's sweet and lovable but a little aggressive. She may have flees and she might destroy the house, so we don't want to bring her in.

We called Animal Control and they simply said we have two options: bring her to the office and they impound her, hoping she will get claimed or adopted within 5 days or she gets put down. Or, we hold on to her for a little while and hope for the best.

So this I ask, what do you do when a dog follows you home?

Story of the Week

Starting this week, we will be righting about unusual pet problems.
Here, at PetPeePee System, we see very strange and interesting things, therefore, we have decided to share these stories with the rest of the world. Of course names of customers and specific details are kept confidential.

A Residential Pet Store

About one year ago we got a call from a nice lady asking us to come clean two rooms. This sounded like any other standard carpet cleaning job, so, we scheduled the job for the next Thursday. On that Thursday we encountered probably the most disturbing pet problem in the PetPeePee System history.

As we entered the house the lady directed us to the rooms that needed cleaning. Immediately we were taken aback. The room was covered in feces, diarrhea, blood, and other natural body waste. The woman then informed us that these rooms were housing birds, dogs, cats, snakes, rabbits, and ferrets. These rooms were appx. 12x12- very small rooms to hold so many animals. The rooms were cleared out because officials came and broke it up. It seemed that this house was a residential pet store.

She asked if we could clean the two rooms. Mr. Martin simply informed the lady that there was no way we would even attempt to clean the rooms since the health risk was far worse than the pay benefit. We don't know if the rooms were ever cleaned, but our guess is no.

If you know of animals being abused or neglected, please notify officials.
Removing Pet Urine Odor

Pet Urine Odor

Pet urine odor is a special kind of scent. It is a scent that lingers and becomes worse over time, even after you've tried everything in your mom's special remedies box. There are several reasons that urine odor stays and becomes worse over time. Here they are:

Urine contains protein. After leaving the pet's body it quickly becomes bacteria in your carpet, area rug, draperies, and even hard floors.

By applying soap, deodorizer, and/or bleach, the bacteria starts to grow. At first, some of the bacterium gets killed, however, the remaining microorganisms grow and actually feed on the dead bacterium AND the soap, and/or deodorizer.

After the new bacteria is happy and fed, your carpet looks like a bomb landed smack in the middle of your room and left a brown/yellow stain.

So, the urine that was once just protein and bacteria, becomes a new beast that we like to call, PeePee Vanilla, the mix between the original scent of urine and your vanilla deodorizer.

Products Used to Remove Urine Odor

So, now you ask yourself, "I've used all these cleaning products, why is the urine still there?"
Well, considering urine contains bacteria, soap is not going to work, unless you can remove all of the soap AND urine. For example, you go to wash your hands after working all day in the yard. You take the soap, lather up, then walk away (skipping the rinse) and wipe your hands. There is no doubt that your hands would be sticky, disgusting and probably dirtier!

[caption id="attachment_262" align="alignleft" width="270" caption="This is the soap that was extracted from the carpet after our cleaning."][/caption]

Therefore, soap is not a good idea. You may say, "well my product doesn't contain soap!"
If you question whether the product you're using contains soap, shake the bottle with cap on, remove the cap and check to see if soap suds protrude from the top. If this is the case, your product contains soap.

If you've given up hope on removing the urine odor and are now using products made for your kitchen, tiles and/or bathroom, then that product most likely contains bleach. And of course we all know, if you put bleach on ANY fabric that stain will NEVER come out. Same for the urine, if you apply that tiny amount of bleach to your carpet, area rug, or furniture, then that stain and odor will never come out.

How to Remove the Urine Odor

If you want the urine odor gone 100% then another concept must be considered, something natural. Here, at PetPeePee System, only naturally blended minerals from the Dead Sea are used in order to kill the bacteria in urine. Some companies started to bloom at the turn of the 21st century and have continued their success by slowly changing the industry they're in. One company in particular is changing an industry that has been around for almost a century, carpet cleaning.

Never before have pets been a part of our families like they are today. 20-30 years ago larger pets were the main attraction and they were kept outside and kept separate from the family. Today, little to medium-sized dogs are the main attraction and cats have become our little independent family members. They are also treated like our close family and most people would forfeit the world in order to keep their furry loved ones safe and along their side.

For over a decade PetPeePee System has been changing the carpet cleaning industry and has acknowledged the ever-changing pet industry. With a system specializing in removing urine odor, something that has gone unnoticed by other companies, but never unnoticed by pet owners.

Every day we get calls asking us if we service Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas and many other states in our nation. And soon, we will be, but for the time being we are changing our local community first. The people in South Florida are finally becoming aware that urine is unlike dirt and therefore, cannot be cleaned like dirt. They call, month after month, asking for the only company that guarantees to remove the urine odor and the only company that specializes in removing that awful urine smell.

Today, PetPeePee System is changing the carpet cleaning industry one pet at a time and will one day be a household name as the only company to remove the urine odor.

However, if you are in another area of the country and need our services, do not hesitate to call us (1-800-713-3692). Oriental rugs/area rugs can be shipped to us and delivered back odor free. An Adoption Story

Pets are a special addition to our families. They become our friends, companions, babies and the loves of our lives. We would do anything for them and all we need in return are those big brown eyes looking up at us and you know that they will love you unconditionally and forever. Your most turmoil days become snow flakes that melt away when you greet your furry loved ones.

How ever your pet enters your life, they stay there forever, even after they're gone. For the life of Tracey, her pets have entered her life in a most noble and admirable way, adoption.
These dogs came into Tracey's home from unbelievable conditions and fates near death. Here is the touching and loving story of L.T., Madison, Doris, Aspen, and Hoover...

"L.T., my German shepherd, was a military police dog for a short while.
The original military handler had to sadly give the dog away because of his baby that had a serious condition that caused him to have seizures. L.T., being a very protective and loyal guard dog, would sometimes sense the seizures before they would even happen. He would nestle himself beside the child and stayed with the child to protect him. Unfortunately, L.T. was so protective that he would not let the paramedics, or even the parents go near the child. When the family moved from Colorado to N.Y. they decided to donate him to the state troopers because of his training and background. At the time L.T. was 4 years old and the troopers felt as though he wouldn’t be able to do the work they needed him to do, also, law enforcement felt that due to the intensive training that these types of dogs go through, they can be very aggressive and a possible threat to the general public. If these dogs feel in the least bit threatened they could become very dangerous. Therefore, they must be handled with extreme care. They were going to put him down because of these conditions, however, I decided to adopt him. I still must always be aware of my surroundings and who approaches him in an abrupt way. He is extremely intelligent, knows German commands, and is, of course, a great guard dog. He is 8 years old now and such a love bug! We love him so much!

I have another German Shepherd named Aspen. I recently adopted her last February. Her story is one that is of the most touching and horrendous nature. Aspen came from a place where they mass breed Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, and Persian Cats. They were kept in absolute filth and the most horrifying conditions. The lady that owned the place suddenly died and that’s when these animals were finally discovered. Aspen, along with many others were saved! It took two local animal rescue organizations (Peppertree and Keeper Rescue), working together, to clean them, house them, and give them all the MUCH needed medical attention. The animals were contained in 4x4 crates with no windows, no going outside, nothing! They ate, slept, gave birth, and went to the bathroom, all in their 4x4 crate, which was never cleaned. The groomer that personally handled Aspen noted that she was 8 years old and just had another litter of puppies. She had the worst heat cycle the groomer had ever seen, which was later discovered that she was loaded with ovarian cysts. They also discovered a large tumor on her mammary gland and had to have all her fur shaved off due to the wood chips, food, feces and urine, making it impossible to clean otherwise. When they shaved her, they found her skin with huge sores and other markings, from the uncleanly conditions. The saddest part of her story that we found out later, was that she was once a Show Dog with an amazing blood line, and was level 2 Schutzhund trained (specialized training, mainly with German Shepherds, for police work). She was purchased by these people and sent over from Germany when she was just four years old. When we first rescued her she constantly went in circles, as all the others do, caused by being captive in their 4x4 cells for many years. Today, she is slowly getting better and her circles are getting bigger and bigger! She is now a healthy, happy, cleaned and SPAYED dog! :)

Last, but certainly not least, is little Madison, my Chihuahua. I got her when she was just 6 months old. She didn’t have such a bad upbringing like the other ones, but she was unwanted because she was to be used for breeding and became too “big,” she was 14 inches tall and only 10 lbs. “HUGE.” Everyone wants the teacup sizes, which are unhealthy a lot of the times because the breed is not meant to be that size. Today she is two years old.

In the past I have always had rescues as pets. I had one Greyhound, Gottcha, from a track in West Palm Beach. One Basset Hound, Hoover, from North Carolina. He was also treated very badly, I knocked on the owners door one day and offered to buy him or turn her into the authorities. His nails were growing into the pads of his feet, which was just one of the very bad conditions. I had him for 14 years.

I also rescued Doris, another Basset Hound. She is from N.Y. and I found her at the Humane Society and she was part of the family for 10 years. Sadly, I lost them both, Hoover in January of ’08 and Doris in February of ’09. Of course they are always thought of and missed tremendously, but it opened the doors for Madison and Aspen to come into my beloved home, where they received the love and attention they so desperately needed.

I have decided that three is my limit, my teenage son, Corbett and I, see and hear of so many cases that, of course, you want to take in, but I feel that if everyone could just take in one, it would make such a difference! If the demand for “puppys” would decrease, maybe it would force these terrible back yard breeders out of business.

Thank you so much for wanting to write about something that I am so passionate about, these animals are so innocent and rely of us for love and so much more.

To see their appreciation in their big brown eyes when I wake up, or come home after a long day, is all the thank you that I need."

There are many cases and horrible situations that many dogs and cats are in. Check out your local humane society or shelter and see how you can make a world of difference in one animal's life, they will love you forever.

If you have a beautiful story of adoption, email us at Arbel@PetPeePee.com and I will feature your story right here.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://petpeepee.blogspot.com/2009/11/big-brown-eyes-adoption-story.html' title='Big Brown Eyes... Why?"

We, at PetPeePee System, hear this statement at least 10 times a day, "I had my carpets cleaned and they smelled and looked wonderful! Almost one week later all the urine stains came back even bigger than before! What happened?" When we get this question here is our best analogy.

Just Imagine...

Just imagine you go into the shower, grab a bottle of shampoo, lather your hair until it can stand on its own, then turn off the water and dry off. It sounds perpostorous, you still have tons of soap in your hair! However, at that moment its clean, right? In about less than an hour your hair starts to feel sticky.
About a week later, who knows what is growing in your hair, the thought alone is frightening. So, lets just say that you would never do such a thing, however, when steam or dry cleaning comes to clean your house that is exactly what they are doing to your carpets, oriental rugs/area rugs, and/or furniture.

What Exactly Happens

When steam cleaning or dry cleaning companies come to clean your rug they tell you your carpet will look like new. And guess what? They're right! Your carpet has never looked cleaner! However, theirs an untold story going on right below your feet.
These systems simply graze the surface, they push soap right into the carpet, almost to the padding, and leave it there! The rinsing process that is crucial to an efficient cleaning, never takes place! Therefore, in regards to peepee, the soap (soap is made from fat, therefore-protein) becomes a nutrient for bacteria to grow. And oh boy do they grow!
After just a couple of days the bacteria in the urine that was left in the padding, starts to feed on the soap and dead bacteria on the surface. The result? That brown/yellow stain on your "never looked cleaner" carpet.

Cleaning Products

The same goes for cleaning products. People try all kind of cleaning products that are made for carpets to eventually products that are made for kitchen counters! Every time another cleaning product is pushed down into your carpet, the bacteria has a new food source. Another example, imagine you go to wash your hands. You take the soap, rub a dub dub, skip the rinse process, grab a towel, dry off and go. Same here, take the cleaning product to your carpet, rub a dub scrub and walk away.

Urine, Vomit, Diarreha, Blood and Feces

No one wants to admit that any of these bodily functions live in their carpet at this very moment. But, if you want to remove the bacteria, stain, odor, and any other grievances they cause you, proper procedure is necessary.

First, when applying any product to any of these stains, you must be sure that you can rinse your carpet of the blood, urine, diarrhea, vomit, feces, and the soap. Otherwise the stain will come back.

Second, if you've finally given up hope and are now using your harsh tile cleaner to remove the stain, you'll eventually find that the stain has become permanent and, now, their's no miracle in the world to save it. The harsher the product, the more likely it is to contain bleach. Apply bleach to anything and you get a permanent stain that will haunt you forever. The safer, the better.

Safer, Better, Guaranteed

If you've done all you can and the odor and/or stain is not going away then PetPeePee System can help. Using only naturally blended minerals from the Dead Sea and a cold water system rather than steam or dry cleaning systems, PetPeePee System Guarantees to Permanently Remove the Urine Odor and STAINS THAT ARE REMOVED WILL NEVER RESURFACE! How?
Because, when we apply the minerals to your carpet, our high-powered machine extracts the urine and the minerals leaving your carpet free from any jungles of bacteria. Also, our Do It Yourself Cleaning Product is two parts, the liquid (minerals from the Dead Sea) and a powder that is used to draw out both the urine and minerals as shown above.

Remember, you wouldn't wash your hair and leave the shower without rinsing. Don't let your carpet fall victim to the bacterium's jungle.
sell their home that just won't sell. Not because of the Economy being in a down turn, but because the previous tenants had dogs (or cats) that prefered the living room to the back yard. What do you do when you've tried every product, system and voodoo practice to try and rid the urine odor and it still lingers like a plague?

Whether you're the tenant and landlord trying to sell and move out of the house or you're the landlord that had the house rented out the past year and now you're trying to sell it, the problem is the same.
When you have a prospective buyer coming to look at the house and as soon as they open the door they're smacked with a strong dose of PeePee Vanilla (PeePee and the deodorizer the cleaning products and systems contain), they immediately reconsider the purchase of the house. Don't let your house go unsold or lower the value of your house because of PeePee.

When Using Steam or Dry Cleaning

If you're a landlord and you have tried using steam or dry cleaning to come clean the empty house, you know that the urine odor remains, why?

Steam Cleaning

A process that uses boiling hot water to clean your carpet. As most of us know, hot water kills bacteria. Initially, the hot water kills the bacteria in the rug, however what most of us fail to realize, is that once the hot boiling water becomes luke warm and damp, bacteria starts to grow at rapid pace in this moist, damp, and humid location. Along with the hot water, steam cleaning uses soap. By using soap on dirt your carpets will look cleaner than ever. However, using soap on peepee just creates a feeding ground for bacteria (Note: bacteria grows with nutrients and the right environment, such as the depths of your carpet). The end result? A room that smells like vanilla (the deodorizer they use to make your house smell good), then after 2 days to a week you start noticing brown or black stains on the carpet and suddenly that vanilla scent that you looked forward to smelling has become tainted with that very distinct smell of peepee. Now, you have PeePee Vanilla and brown stains. (Note: these brown stains are the bacterial jungle that multiplied to millions, maybe even billions, in just a matter of days. Sometimes these stains even become permanent.)

Dry Cleaning

Is an interesting system that uses several different techniques to clean your carpet, however they are very similar. One of them uses carbonated water and a cleaning agent (chemical) that is sprayed as a mist onto the carpet. With a buffer type machine, the mixture is pushed into the carpet, downfall? The padding, or bottom of the carpet is not cleaned, and there is little or no removal system. So, anything that was pushed into the carpet does not come up, effectively. Other processes involve adding chemicals or cleaning agents that attach itself to dirt, from there a vacuum is used to lift the dirt and the cleaning agent. This process is effective for just dirt, it cleans the carpet and it's dry within a day. However, urine is another beast entirely. The dry cleaning process only cleans the surface of the carpet and peepee travels to the bottom, making it almost impossible to extract. Urine is basically a live substance that can live in your carpet for a long period of time and continue to smell for even longer.

These methods basically target dirt and other elements that make your carpet look a little darker than the day you moved in. To remove the urine odor, 100%, a new type of system is needed. That system today, is called PetPeePee.

The PetPeePee System

By using cold water instead of hot water, bacteria doesn't have a warm place to multiply. Also, by using naturally blended minerals from the Dead Sea, (developed by the PetPeePee System) the bacteria in urine is immediately killed and minerals stay. Our system is also specifically designed to penetrate deep into the padding and immediately vacuum both the urine, our minerals, the water, and the soap that was added to your carpet. Our system is Guaranteed to Permanently Remove Dog and Cat Urine Odor. How? Simple, we don't use any soap/detergent, deodorizer or enzymes that basically, as discussed before, mask the urine odor.

How We Can Help Sell Your House

If you're house is filled with urine odor and you've tried everything, try the one system that will solve your problems. Selling your home today is hard enough, don't make it harder. Eliminate the urine odor once and for all and sell your house. PetPeePee System was developed this system and naturally blended minerals from the Dead Sea for this specific problem and we are here to help.
Call us at 1-800-713-3692 or Visit us at www.PetPeePee.com

Wlliam, Lynne. Unlike dogs, cats usually have a reason for peeing in certain areas of the house. Of course the cat could just decide to pee somewhere for no reason at all, but most cats have a hidden meaning in their peeing habits. Read into your cat's pee and find out what your little princess (or prince) is really telling you.

"Did My Cat Pee On My Drapes ?!"

There are several reasons for your cat peeing/spraying on your drapes. The first reason Mr. Martin, Inventor and Owner of PetPeePee System, has found is that the cat will typically pee on the drapes that is directly behind a sofa or couch where a certain someone is sitting. This may sound bizarre and unusual, however, if there is someone in your house that doesn't care too much for your cat, the cat knows it. Therefore, the cat will pee in the area where that person sits. Mr. Martin has been to many homes where this is the case. Same for furniture. If you find your cat peeing in one specific area on the sofa this is probably the reason; whether it be someone new to the house that visits frequently, or someone living in the house that doesn't like the cat and vice verse.

Also, if you notice your cat has started, or has been peeing on the window sill, their may be something provoking your cat to pee that you haven't noticed before. In this case, their may be a stray cat coming near the same window, but from the outside. When the stray cat comes and pees near/on the window, your cat smells it and tries to mark his/her territory by peeing also. Your cat is simply staking its claim on the house and, unfortunately, leaving your window sill full of peepee.

"My Cat Never Pees Out of The Litter Box, Why is she peeing now?!"

If your cat is a loyal litter box peer and suddenly he/she starts peeing in another area in the house the cat may be telling you that he/she doesn't feel well. They may have a stomach ache or another kind of pain, and the only way they know to get your attention is to pee. If cats could talk they would probably tell us they don't feel well, and probably some other things we may not want to know, however this is not possible. Therefore the hidden meaning in this pee may be that they are sick, and they may need your help.

Another reason your cat may suddenly start peeing in an area not permissable by you is they feel neglected. If you have a new visitor, new pets, baby, husband, wife, pregnancy, or new factors in life (such as moving) that affect your attention to your cat they may become jealous and start demanding your attention by peeing. Cats are like humans in this sense and do not want to be neglected, now, you may say that cats are independent and don't need human interaction all the time. Yes, cats are independent and they don't need your attention ALL the time, but they certainly need your attention on a daily basis. Your cat is like family and they expect to be treated as so.

"I bring my cat with me everywhere in my Louis Vuitton Bag and now she's peeing in it!"

If you've ever tried to hold your cat for more than 20 minutes you tend to find that your cat wants to get as far away as possible. You may beg, plead with your cat to make them stay in your arms but it never works. Some cats love this and you're blessed if your cat does, however most can't be in the same place for more than a certain amount of time. So, if you try and keep your cat in your Louis Vuiton bag for longer than that amount of time your cat will pee, which is saying, "Hey! GET ME OUT OF HERE!"
Note: PetPeePee System cleans all types of materials and has even cleaned this Louis Vuitton bag belonging to a loyal customer. Any item is available for pick up and delivery. However, if you are out-of-state PetPeePee System will make arrangements for UPS to pick up and deliver your items. Cats DO NOT like to share (in most cases).

Also, when cats use the litter box they demand privacy just like humans. So, putting a litter box near a door, or in an open hallway is unacceptable! Have you ever noticed that if you look at your cat while they're doing their business they look at you like, "What the heck are you looking at?" This is because they want their privacy. Therefore, putting your cat's litter box in a secluded corner or enclosed area is most preferred.

Cats are very instinctive and territorial. Still having their primal instincts they prefer to pee in an area where they have, or another cat has peed. So, when you go to clean your cat's litter box, always leave some of the old litter in the box so they're reminded that it's their's, plus they feel more comfortable. Also, try avoid using a plastic bag underneath the litter, leaving a good portion of the old litter is better than removing all of it.

Along with having a nice location for litter boxes, enough for each cat and privacy, another tip to avoid your cat peeing NEAR the litter box is to put down an old towel underneath the box. When cats leave the litter box after they pee, their paws have litter and pee on them. Once they start walking on the carpet or tile the odor will transfer to those areas. Therefore, they smell their pee near the litter box and think its O.K. to pee there.

Some people are cat and dog lovers. More often than not the cat and dog actually get along or the dog just loves to play fight with the cat. In one case that Mr. Martin noticed in one of his customer's home is that the cat's litter box was located right next to the dog crate! So, sometimes when the cat went to pee, the dog would bark, get excited and scare the cat away. So, instead of getting scared away by barks she would rather pee in a more tranquil location, the sofa.

"I just bought this couch, why is she peeing on it?!"

If you just bought a new piece of furniture and your cat is drawn to it like light from a UFO their is probably another smell that the cat does not like and feels it must pee to make sure their smell is the only one. If you buy furniture that was located on the display floor, people have sat on it before. Those people may own cats and transfer the smell to your new furniture. You probably don't smell this but your cat does and, therefore, will pee on it to claim its territory. Therefore, try avoid buying furniture from the display floor, or have it cleaned before placing it in your home.
Note: If you have bought your couch, loveseat or other furniture items from the display floor PetPeePee System Guarantees to Remove the Urine Odor so your cat may not be provocked to pee on it.

How PetPeePee System Can Help!

PetPeePee System has been dealing with urine odor problems for more than 10 years and have become the Sherlock Holmes of PeePee. Whether, you're excited or not, the timing is always inconvenient. On September 22, 2009 I, for the first time, went to the Broward County Courthouse to fulfill my duty as a juror.

After waiting for about two hours, freezing to death and sleeping straight up with my wry eye open, I was called to a specific judge. Then, after about another hour, close to lunch time mind you, I was called into the court room. Without going into specifics, we were basically asked to give some information about each of us (the jurors). One of the questions was where we were employed. Here was my response:

"I work with the family business," I stated.
"And what may that be?" The Judge asked me.
"My father invented a new company called PetPeePee," I answered.
"Oh? And what exactly is that?? That sounds interesting!" The Judge replied.
At this point I looked around the room to see the faces of the attorneys and the other jurors, and just like the Judge, they were all interested!
"Well, my Father invented a new system that guarantees to permanently remove dog and cat urine odor from carpets, furniture and things like that," I stated, then waited for the reply.
"Really?! Well, I think we could all use that!" The Judge replied with the other members in the room smiling and nodding their heads.

All I could think at that moment was that I am in an official Broward County Courthouse and here I am talking about PetPeePee and the Judge is genuinely interested!
And the shocks didn't stop there! After exiting the room to await the list of dismissed or chosen jurors, one of the other jurors approached me and asked, "Does it really work and what is the website?"
I stated it really does work unlike anything else in the market and how remarkable the system really is. I told him the website (PetPeePee.com) and went on my way.

Thankfully I was dismissed later on but I will always remember how my first time at jury duty was very interesting and even Judges have dogs/cats that urinate in their home, who knew.
Q: Is there a difference between dog urine and cat urine?
A: Yes! There is a big difference. Dogs pee all over, whereas, cats pee along the wall
repeatedly in the same area. Due to this difference in habits, cat owners should expect several visits to ensure our guarantee.
Q: Why do you use cold water?
A: PetPeePee developed and built a new machine that work with the minerals and cold water safely. Urine can be removed only with cold water not hot water (steam).
Q: When you clean the wall-to-wall carpeting, do you clean only the urine spot or the entire carpet?
A: PetPeePee System cleans the entire room, while concentrating on the urine spots.
Q: After I've discovered that my cat peed along the corner of the wall, can I remove the padding and replace my carpet?
A: No. Before installing a new carpet we recommend to clean the sub flooring and the base board. Since cats pee/spray along the wall, some of the urine is absorbed deep into the drywall, baseboard and the flooring. Removal of the urine odor, completely, is available with PetPeePee System and guarantees that the urine odor is gone forever.

Furniture

PetPeePee System has developed a new system and product to permanently remove dog and cat urine odor from furniture made from leather, canvas, cotton, microfiber and synthetic.

Urine on Furniture

When dogs or cats urinate on furniture their are several places they choose. The most common is the leg or arm of the sofa, the cushion, or towards the back of the sofa where it typically seeps towards the base of the sofa. However, the problem lies deep inside the base boards, the sub floor and the dry wall.
Because the urine is deeper and more dispersed, this process is more extensive.

The process of removing cat urine involves cleaning the carpet, sub floor and the dry wall. In this case, the PetPeePee System offers several combinations of cleaning. Some processes may take more than one visit. Only a PetPeePee System certified technician can determine what process is best for you.

Landing

Some Dogs and Cats find the landing an excellent place to mark their territory.
The PetPeePee System has developed a process that guarantees the removal of urine odor from:
carpet and sub floor (wood), permanently.
* This cleaning process may take more than one visit to ensure the complete removal of urine odor.

Oriental Rugs and Area Rugs

Home Depot or Iran? If it came from Department stores or Asia is there a difference?

The answer is Yes!
The difference is between Area Rugs and Oriental Rugs.
In this post we will talk about the difference between synthetic rugs and hand made, wool oriental rugs.
Note: Some department stores do sell high quality Oriental Rugs.

How To Tell If Your Oriental Rug Is Authentic

The wool on the back is sewn on, not glued

If it is made from real wool, cotton, or silk.

If the rug was dyed with vegetable dye or another high quality dye.
(How you can tell: If the colors have ever run, or stained your hard floor then your Oriental Rug is made with dye.)

If it was hand made with many details. (How you can tell if it is hand made: the lines are not straight and the details are not symmetrical.)

Some Oriental Rugs are machine made, in this case, the tag on the back will describe the material of the rug and the quality.

How To Tell If It's An Area Rug

The canvas backing is glued on to the back of the rug, typically on the back of wool.

The backing is latex, meaning when you rub your hand across it, it feels like hard glue.

The rug is made from synthetic fiber. When buying the rug, the tag should describe the material.

Some rugs are even made from recycled materials, or a combination of synthetic material and wool. This also means, the colors will not run.

Mainly, Area Rugs are synthetic, and are typically machine made.

The Worst Kind of Area Rugs In Regards to Pet Accidents

Wool Area Rugs with glued canvas' don't handle accidents very well. After constant exposure the glue starts to loosen from the rug and eventually will tear right off. This will also happen with heavy traffic on the rug (which is similar to pounding the rug with a hammer) and direct sun light. These conditions will destroy your rug over time.

Burlap (Sisal) Area Rugs are not designed to get wet and therefore when pet accidents gets on the rug, it makes a permanent stain.

Padding

If you have an Area Rug or Oriental Rug, padding is very important. If you have a high quality Oriental Rug a special, high durable padding is a must. If you want to maintain your Oriental Rug for generations to come, padding is important. (PetPeePee offers a special padding such as this. Please visit our website for more information. PetPeePee.com/OrientalRugs/AreaRugs)
By using padding, the colors will not run onto the hard floor and it will protect any damage caused by heavy traffic.
It is important for both Oriental Rugs and Area Rugs to have padding so the rug will not slip and cause any injuries.
Tip: The popular, rubber waffle shaped padding is not a good padding because it leaves stains on wood and marble flooring. It is also not a durable for your rugs.

When Pee Gets on Your Oriental Rug or Area Rug.

Dogs and Cats commonly pee on Oriental Rugs or Area Rugs simply because it is a soft place that reminds them of grass or litter. When houses have hard floors pets will tend to pee on any soft surface because they don't like to have any urine splash back onto their legs. If you want to eliminate the urine odor and remove any stain/discoloration, consider using PetPeePee System. Our product and system is designed to treat the urine without affecting the condition of the Oriental Rug or Area Rug. There are several options as to how to clean the rug. If you are local we can pick up the rug to our 4,000 sq. ft. warehouse and deliver it to you 100% odor free. If you are out of our region you can ship the rug to us and we can send it back with no urine odor, guaranteed! If you have a couple of spots, we have our Do It Yourself Cleaning Product that is made from naturally blended minerals from the Dead Sea and will provide you with excellent results and will never make colors run.
Tip: Never scrub the rug! Always clean with the nap, never against, and in the same direction. Otherwise you can ruin the nap and create an uneven pattern in your rug that may be permanent.

Home Alone

School has started, work begins, and another summer vacation is over.

After hours of being away from home our pets are beyond excited to see us, however, the past couple of hours have been spent alone.

When pets are stuck at home all alone, two things typically tend to happen, they destroy the house and tear apart anything they choose, or they pee in different areas of the house.

Lets Talk About Dogs!

Dogs are very active and like to be fully engaged for long periods of time. When they are left alone they have nothing else to do but cause chaos by tearing things apart, like our favorite pair of shoes, or our $75 pillow. Or, they decide to make the house their own personal back yard, which, who can blame them? A solution to this problem is putting the dogs in a secluded area, which can be good and bad. The good thing is your personals are protected from both destruction and urination. However, the dogs are prohibited from running around and releasing energy so when you come home and let them out, they are full of energy and are hard to calm down.

When you come home try to make a routine of taking your dog out for longer than 10 minutes. (If you really want to release his/her energy let them play outside for 20 minutes, remember they've been locked up for hours.) When they pee outside, reward them by giving him/her a treat, toy, or give some extra love.

Something to Calm The Nerves

Somethings Mr. Martin, Inventor and Owner of PetPeePee System, has come up with that will help with these certain scenarios:

Give your dog one or several chew toys that are durable, that way they can spend a couple of hours trying to tear it apart.

Give your dog a large bone to chew on that will provide him/her a chew toy plus a delicious treat.

If your dog is a roamer of the house, hide a treat somewhere that will engage his/her inner hunter.

If you have hard floors the best option is to place a Wee Wee pad somewhere that is convenient for the dog. Also, place an old towel under the Wee Wee pad so the pee doesn't seep through onto the hard floor. If the pee has seeped onto the hard floor our Do It Yourself Hard Floor product will provide excellent results to remove the urine odor.

Little Miss Kitty

Cats are almost like humans. They need attention, independence and a soft place to lay their heads. Cats, unlike dogs, do not need much to entertain them. They typically lay around and play with soft things such as toy balls and light, feathery things. However, something the cat does need is to feel very loved, otherwise they get jealous and vindictive. If they feel neglected they have a habit of peeing to get your attention. Here are some tips to make sure your little princess (or prince) doesn't pee around the house.

Change the litter box every morning, this is much better than at night time, because it will provide a fresh litter box for her/him to pee. Remember leave a little bit of the old litter in the box so he/she can smell the old odor. Cats are animals of territory and prefer to pee in an area they've peed before or where another cat has peed.

When you get home, pay extra attention to your cat so they don't feel ignored or unloved.

Something For The Pee

If you have carpet, oriental rugs or furniture, your best option is to LEAVE THE PEE ALONE. Do not try and use cleaning products that contain soap or bleach! To test your product if it has soap shake it with cap on, then remove the cap. If the bottle is suddenly alive with soap bubbles, then the product contains soap. If you can apply the soap and remove it effectively then proceed, however most people do not have this ability. A comparison we give is if you wash your hair and don't rinse the soap out, after a while the soap becomes a magnet for dirty things.

If you want to remove the urine and the odor you want to use a product that will KILL the bacteria that causes the odor. PetPeePee System does not contain deodorizer, soap or enzymes that mask the urine odor. Our naturally blended minerals from the Dead Sea will give you the results you've been looking for.

Hello world!

Welcome to Wordpress.com.
